October Sermon Series During October, our church will experience an exciting new program, Earn.
Save. Give.: Wesley’s Simple Rules for Money. During this series, we will learn how to better
understand how to steward our finances in a way that brings spiritual meaning to our lives.
Special Conference Offering Today’s Special Conference Offering will be collected for World
Communion. There are envelopes available or donations can be made online.
Candy Needed Donations are needed for Trunk or Treat. Baskets will be set out throughout the
campus.

WOW Dinner Join us for WOW Dinner on October 9th, starting at 5:30 p.m. The menu will be
Poppyseed Chicken. All ages are welcome!
Philippians Bible Study Join Mrs. Tina Rakestraw for our Bible study Wednesdays, at 6:30 p.m. in the
Barton Room. These studies will help us learn from Paul the art of seeing God’s purposes working out
through problems and difficulties, and they will deepen our own confidence in God’s will.
Women’s Picnic Join the Ladies of DFUMC at White Oak Park, Pavilion #2 on October 17th, from

Children’s Yard Sale Fundraiser Come out and support our Children’s Ministry Yard Sale on
Saturday, October 19th, from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Church members can drop items off on October 9th, during

Veterans Day The church would like to honor our Veterans at both services on November 10th, with a
slide show honoring our active and retired service members. If you would like to participate please email
